A: GPH stands for Gallons Per Hour, and it measures the pump's flow rate. The correct GPH for your bilge depends on the size of your boat. A common guideline is to have a minimum of 500 GPH for boats under 20 feet, 1500-2000 GPH for boats 20-30 feet, and 4000+ GPH for larger vessels over 35 feet. It’s always better to have more capacity than you need.
