On the water after dark, clear and reliable lighting isn’t just a good idea - it’s a legal requirement and your first line of defence. At Boat Accessories Australia, we stock a massive range of navigation lights to keep you safe and compliant, no matter what you pilot.
From tough, low-draw LEDs to classic styles, you’ll find the perfect set of boat port and starboard lights to match your vessel and your budget. Every product is built for the harsh marine environment, giving you peace of mind from sunset to sunrise.
The move to modern LED technology means your lights are brighter, last longer, and draw significantly less power from your battery. Our collection of LED port and starboard lights features models with different configurations, such as 12 or 20 LEDs, allowing you to choose the level of visibility that suits your needs.
You can select between units with coloured lenses that produce a rich, deep light or those with clear lenses over coloured LEDs for a crisp, intense signal. We also stock compact LED units and classic vertical mount designs, giving you modern performance with a traditional look. To complete your setup, you'll find all-around 360-degree anchor lights built with the same reliable and efficient LED technology.
Having the best lighting technology is one thing, but it needs to fit your vessel perfectly. That’s why our range includes a huge variety of mounting styles to work with any hull or cabin design. You’ll find horizontal mount options ideal for flat surfaces, as well as vertical and side mount pairs that attach neatly to the sides of a cabin or console.
For a clean installation on your deck, our deck mount and top mount lamps provide a secure and unobtrusive fit. We even have fold-down navigation lamps that can be stowed away to prevent damage when not in use. This variety of starboard and port-side lights means you can get a professional, secure fitment without compromise.
This focus on the right fit extends to boats of all sizes. For those with a tinnie, dinghy, or any small craft where space and power are at a premium, we have compact and straightforward solutions. Our range includes battery-operated LED navigation light sets that are incredibly easy to install, requiring no complex wiring back to your battery.
These compact lights for the port and starboard deliver excellent brightness and are perfect for getting you home safely after an evening fish. They serve as a brilliant primary lighting system for smaller boats or as a reliable backup for larger vessels, offering a simple and effective way to stay visible on the water.
While compact options are perfect for smaller vessels, navigating larger boats or challenging waters calls for a different level of performance. Our pro navigation lights are designed to deliver exceptional brightness for superior marine visibility over long distances.
High-output models provide the powerful illumination needed for commercial vessels or serious offshore boaters, cutting through spray and bad weather with ease. For general use, our medium-output and classic LED lights offer a fantastic balance of brightness, durability, and value. Finding the right starboard navigation light and matching port-side boat light is simple when you have options built for specific performance needs.

Port and starboard lights (collectively called sidelights) are coloured lights mounted on the sides of a vessel to show its orientation to other boats at night or in poor visibility. The port (left side, looking forward) light is red, and the starboard (right side) light is green. Together with the stern light and masthead light, they let other vessels work out which way you are heading and what action they need to take to avoid a collision. They are required between sunset and sunrise and in restricted visibility.
